Pie and McKinnon at AIIM
In two announcements this week from AIIM, we hired Laurence Hart (@piewords) as our new CIO and Cheryl McKinnon (@cherylmckinnon) as our new Director of Marketing. So, what do these changes mean?
First, Laurence brings with him a long history in the industry, most recently in consulting. He has a knack for cutting through BS and getting straight to the heart (no pun intended) of the matter. His...
Why I Hate Android
parislemon:
Why do I hate Android? It’s definitely one of the questions I get asked most often these days. And most of those that don’t ask probably assume it’s because I’m an iPhone guy. Google Schemer?
I will officially be referring to Google Schemer as Google Stupid Name. I don’t care if it’s a great product or not, it has an incredibly stupid name. Google Schemer will henceforth be referred to as Google Stupid Name.

Andrew Connell's Take On The Future of Silverlight →
I don’t think “dead” is the right term. I think we’re looking at Silverlight being no longer integrated completely in SharePoint. It all comes down to mobile accessibility in my mind.

Papa John Decides Not To Run For President
(Sioux Falls, Iowa) In a stunning reversal of prior hints, “Papa” John Schnatter has decided not to mount an effort for the Republican nomination. Schnatter said, “I’m too busy making my pizza edible compared to Godfather’s Pizza to mount a run at this time”. Last week, Schnatter got a boost from reports that Spiderman was backing his potential campaign. This...

My Schedule for SharePoint Conference 2011
I’m looking forward to meeting with a lot of people during the SharePoint Conference, but since I’m not going to meet everyone that I want to, nor everyone who wants to meet with me, I’m just going to post the entirety of my schedule. I’m at the Cortona Inn room 122, if you REALLY need to talk.

Stop Blocking Me, I'm Trying To Work
Splash screens haven’t been widely utilized on the web for years, and yet, each day I’m inundated with images that block me from doing what I really want to do: get work done. I launch Camtasia… splash screen. I launch Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc… splash screen. It’s frustrating. Most of the time, these splash screens can’t move and can’t be minimized....
